Ten tiger sculptures auctioned for the safeguard of the species

10 June 2015

At a private reception organised by the Amneville Zoo and held on Friday 5 June, 10 unique artworks realised by renowned artists were put up for auction. The sale raised 22,700 euros for Awely’s projects for the conservation of the species.

Resonating with the new show “TigerWorld” at the Amneville Zoo, and in the context of the exposition “Tigers in the City”, which took place from 8 to 12 April in Metz, sculptures of tigers in resin were painted by artists including Patrick Moya and Ara Starck.

Anti-poaching in Bangladesh, research in India, education campaigns in Vietnam, and community-based conservation in Nepal – the funds generated by the sale of these life-size wild cats will help Awely continue to protect this feline through its actions based on the major themes to which it remains committed.
